The Extraordinary Tourist

Terror is for Stupid People.
Thursday, June 01, 2006

This is an idea for a song that began forming in my head one morning. I found myself desperately trying to finish taking a shower so I could write something down before I forgot everything. You know how it is...you think of one line, then another, then another and before you know it you've forgotten how it started.

Anyway this is as far as I got before my day took over. I may finish it sometime in the future.

Terror is for Stupid People.

Terror is for Stupid People,
The weak, the undeserved.
You only read what you want to see,
You miss out many words.

Too many people dying.
Only the dead are really free.
The rest of us, left behind,
Thank God we've got TV.

This modern world is crying.
Look what you have done.
Fear and a 'War on Terror'.
This is what we've become.

Comments:

Nice artwork, very elastic. Cool blog. I also was thinking of watching the Da Vinci code movie to see what they did with the artwork, but maybe I'll rent it later.

Thanks for the comments mud_pie. The art is a bit of a let down in the movie as you don't really get much of a feel for the pieces or the locations. I guess they wanted to keep the pace moving (and yet people are still finding it boring?).

The song sounds promising! Love the words. Wonder how the tune would go, and would it be a slow one or pacey!

I've had that other song I wrote about previously ('You are the Generation that bought more shoes...') going around in my head so the words to this kind of match the sound and pace of that. You can hear the song at the bands web site: http://www.johnnyboyinc.co.uk/
(if you can find it 'cause it's a pain the a.. flash site).
Anyway medium pace is about what I imagine my song to be sung in with a kind of Phil Spectre 'Wall of Sound' thing happening in the background.
